Patience, you say?

I have a few friends who have been somehow bullied by their former officemates. You see, bullying doesn’t stop in high school and it’s even worse in the female context. Generally, the boys can just drink their beer and laugh about their issues, then finally shrug them off. With the girls, it’s different. Simple yet offensive one-liners could lead to long-time silent wars, backstabbing.. name it. It may appear classy cause it’s a quiet way of fighting and not the palengkera way. However, it still makes both parties feel bad.

So these friends of mine kept their calm for so long. It’s not like they’re a bunch of losers. If the office becomes a battlefield, it’s vital to keep one’s composure and of course, professionalism. It’s been quite a long time now and the “bullies” seem to be getting a dose of their own medicine.

Not that I’m happy for these bullies. I’m just happy for my friends who stick to their values. If somebody do you wrong, plotting revenge is actually just a waste of time. Life has a surprising way of making things fair. Indeed, God has bigger & better plans for us. Good or bad, there’s always karma in everything we do.
